CIVIC GARDENS Engagement Shoot LONDON
With the wedding photography market being so saturated, it's always an honour when couples trust me to capture their love stories. I first met Dina and Mohamad at a wedding I photographed the year before, where Dina was one of the bridesmaids at that wedding. They loved the experience so much that they booked me nearly a year and a half in advance from their own wedding. From our very first conversation, they were excited and enthusiastic to work with me.
We met at Civic Gardens Center in London, Ontario for their engagement session - a beautiful venue built to highlight their facility full of lush greenery. While I'm a Toronto based wedding photographer, I always enjoy travelling anywhere to capture moments like these.
Dina, who is Palestinian, and Mohamad, who is Lebanese, first met online. After deep conversations it didn't take long for Mohamad to go down on one knee and propose to his soon-to-be wife, Dina. This intimate gathering for their engagement photos also doubled as their henna night, a blend of tradition and joy that will set the foundation for their journey together.
When I met the couple at the start of their shoot, the first thing that stood out to me was Dina's stunning outfit. It's truly one of a kind as she custom ordered it from Jordan. It's the type of outfit that you rarely have the opportunity to photograph in the wedding industry, so I had to make sure the photos came out extra special in a way that I highlighted the details of Dina's outfit.
Despite this being their first professional photoshoot, Dina and Mohamad were natural from the get-go, making my job effortless. You could feel their deep connection, so it was important for me not just to document what their engagement shoot looked, but also how it felt.
I'm grateful to have been part of this small celebration and I'm looking forward to capturing their wedding day next month!
