Love, Dancing and Fun: Brooklyn Engagement Photography
Tiana and David’s engagement party was a quintessential New York Celebration: perfectly blending local roots with international ties. Their engagement party in New York wasn’t just a celebration, it was a reunion that proved you don’t need a huge guest list to have fun, high-energy party.
David, who was natively from Toronto where he played college hockey. He would coincidentally end up playing for a hockey team in New York City, where coincidentally, Tiana was working during that time. Fast forward to today, where we kicked off Tiana and David’s engagement photos in New York. Williamsberg is the couples neighbourhood home, so it only felt right to start their engagement shoot at Domino Park, where we had manhattan’s beautiful skyline as our backdrop and the industrial vibe of the old sugar refinery.

Brooklyn Engagement Photography: Silverlight Tavern
After their engagement shoot at Domino Park, we headed over to Silverlight Taver, where the true party happened. The evening began when their family, friends and guests started to arrive, where we captured moment. David had friends and family fly out from Toronto, where they celebrated with the couple. Silverlight Taver was perfect for their engagement party, as it gave an intimate feel that they enjoyed with their friends and family.
When the sun began to set, it was all about dancing, eating and drinking, where the couple enjoyed the love and laughter of the evening where the dance floor stayed packed the entire night. We wanted to give this a true party feel, and we did this by photographing the dance floor not only as a New York editorial wedding photographer would, but to give them the look of film photography, as the use of a disposable camera played a big role in their party!
Tiana and David’s engagement party was a true testament to their love for each other, as the party was a reflection of who they were as a couple. Congratulations to the couple for their engagement – it was a truly a please for us to be part of this incredible celebration!
